School Uniform Expectations – Information for pupils, parents and carers

Children should wear school uniform. They should wear a suitable combination from the list below:

  •  Grey pinafore dress/skirt/trousers
  • Plain white polo shirt (with or without school logo)
  • Plain royal blue school sweatshirt/cardigan (with or without school logo)
  • Plain grey or white socks
  • Plain grey tights
    Plain black shoes
  • Practical and simple plain hair accessories only e.g. hair band, bobbles to keep hair out of eyes. No decorative hair accessories.

From the start of the summer term until October half terms girls may also ear a light blue gingham summer dress.

  • Plain grey trousers or shorts
  • Plain white polo shirt (with or without school logo)
  • Plain royal blue school sweatshirt (with or without school logo)
  • Plain grey socks
  • Plain black shoes

P.E. Uniform:

  • Plain royal blue round neck t-shirt (with or without school logo)
  • Plain royal blue PE hoodie (with or without school logo)
  • Plain navy tracksuit bottoms
  • Plain navy shorts or ‘skort’
  • Clean trainers

Please provide your child with these items in a drawstring bag. These will be kept on your child's peg in their cloakroom. They need to be brought to school each Monday and taken home each Friday to be washed.

Swimwear and towel for years 2 & 3 in a waterproof bag.

Most of these items are available from local chain stores. The school sweatshirt and polo shirts embroidered with the school logo are available from Emblazon & Rawcliffes in Harrogate. Book bags printed with the school logo are also available.

All KS2 children require a painting overall – a cut-down man’s shirt is ideal.

Children will play outside in light rain and in cold temperatures. Children should have warm waterproof coat. School does not have the staffing capacity to keep children in side school during outdoor play if they do not have a coat.

All the above items MUST be clearly marked with the child’s name. Ideally they will have name labels or the child’s name written in permanent fabric marker that does not wash out.

School preference is that no jewellery is worn. Children are however permitted to wear stud earrings and a watch. They do so at their own risk.

Changes from previous years.

This year we are moving towards just the plain white polo shirt (with or without school logo) rather than blue and white. If children still have blue polo shirts that fit them and can be used this is perfectly acceptable. We request that future purchases of polo shirts are white only.
